​Headington Street Contacts 2025

           Connected Communities (part of Headington Action) is in regular contact with Street Contacts in your area. If you look at the list you may already have one but if not, would you consider being a Street Contact? We can help you to see up a group for your road. The most frequently used message is about street parties.  Street parties are a great way to meet neighbours, build a sense of community and belonging, and are fun for children who love playing in traffic free streets. Connected Communities have been working closely with local neighbourhoods in order to support more street parties throughout the summer months with equipment, guidance on how to get started and street closure signs. Through this initiative many streets regularly take part in frequent street parties to get together with neighbours. As a result of this we have been able to accumulate a list of ‘Street Contact’ individuals who are happy to be contacted with any community matters that may impact their neighbourhoods immediately, this can be anything from getting a street party organised, to supporting a neighbour in need.
