Aerial Arts (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, various times)

Studio 2 is a community for learning, practicing and sharing Aerial Arts.​ There is a schedule of classes including Trapeze and Aerial Silks for Children and Adults in a range of abilities.​ 
Aerial arts is a total body workout that builds strength and flexibility but we don’t expect each student to have these already, that is what we build together!
Kids (8-16 years) /Teen (13-17 years) classes classes typically run in courses (usually 5-6 weeks) which try to coincide with school terms and take into account major public holidays.

Enjoyable and healthy exercise in the water for healthy pregnant women from 16 weeks in the Oxford area. Thanks to the support of the water, this exercise is less stressful on your joints, and the resistance helps muscles to work more efficiently. It feels really comfortable to exercise in water, especially in pregnancy - and it's good for your baby too.

Barton Health Walk (Thursday 14:00-15:00)

Health Walks are free, gentle walks (typically 30-60 minutes) taken at a pace suitable for all. No need to book. Meet outside Barton Neighbourhood Centre, where you’ll be able to meet the Health Walk Leader who will ask you to fill in a form. You’re then free to attend any health walks. No special walking gear needed, just wear shoes and clothes you’re happy to walk in! Everyone’s welcome! A great way to meet new people, while getting some gentle exercise.

Bereavement Support Walk (1st Monday of month, 14:00-15:30)

Run by Age UK, this is a local walk - more of a stroll and not at a fast pace. There are various locations but walks begin at a central meeting point in Oxford, with the location chosen in advance usually at the previous meeting. Talk to Sarah if you want to know if this group is right for an individual and she would be happy to talk it through.

Headington Youth Football Club

Headington Youth FC, are an FA Charter Standard football club, based in Risinghurst. (Boys: U8 Yellow, U8 Blue, U10, U11, U12, U13 Blue, U13 Yellow, U14, U15, U21 Girls: U10, U12, U13 Yellow, U13 Blue and U18 teams). All teams have a coach who holds a minimum of an F.A Level 1 certificate, which includes First Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications and all have completed a FA DBS check.
Children from the age of 6 are welcome (boys and girls) who wish to develop their football skills in a safe and friendly environment and be part of a team.

Body Politic Hip-Hop Dance Classes (Monday 16:30-17:30 or 17:45-18:45, term time only)

Dance classes for young people aged 8-16. Classes are a fantastic opportunity to learn new dance skills, boost confidence and meet new people. Sessions are led by experienced instructors from Body Politic who work hard to create a safe and supportive environment where students feel empowered through; learning choreography, technique training, opportunities to create your own moves and let your creativity flourish!

OxPhysio Pilates
Suitable for any age, ability and fitness level. Regular group sessions which run in six to eight week blocks or individual pilates sessions at a time and venue that is suitable for you.
All classes are mixed ability except the postnatal class for postpartum mothers at 11:15 on a Friday. You are welcome to come along to the postnatal classes once your baby is 6 weeks old. These friendly, relaxed sessions are run in blocks of six to eight weeks. There is an opportunity before or after the class to feed your baby, enjoy refreshments and have a chat with your instructor and the other mums in the group.

Lower stress, reduce chronic pain, sleep better, and relax more. Harmonise with nature in seasonal Qigong practice using forms from nature that synchronise with the 5 seasons of the qigong calendar. Explore the ancient Chinese practice of qigong which brings together breathwork, flowing movements, and meditation to create a dynamic practice to improve both mental and physical health.

QRFC is an FA Charter Standard club and which strives to apply high standards in all aspects of football, care and behaviour. There are teams for ages from Under 7 to Under 17 for boys and girls. No previous experience necessary.

Silver Shakers is an inclusive group of men and women (aged 50+) who enjoy coming together to dance, socialize, and have fun. The dance sessions are designed for people of all physical abilities and are fun, creative and good for your health. All exercises can be done seated or standing and can be taken at your own pace.

Vinyasa yoga involves using the breath to flow between different yoga poses, also known as asanas. Whilst the physical aspect of a regular yoga practice can increase muscle strength and flexibility, the breath aspect, pranayama, can relax and energise the mind and body.

15min seated Zumba & 15min resistance training with bands. All low impact and done seated. Followed by a cup of coffee. It's a light hearted and fun class with no pressure.
