Barton Advice Centre
The advice service can advise on debt, benefits, housing, family matters and community care. You may be referred to more appropriate services if needed.
As well as benefits specialists BAC have a specialist debt worker who can assist with Debt Relief Orders. Advice can be given on the telephone advice line to all Oxford City residents. |

Barton Community Larder (Tuesday 10:00-12:00 & 14:00-19:00)
A community larder is a ‘pop-up’ hub: a place to access food that is surplus, make friends, access additional services and save money on your bills. All Community Larders are unique in their own way, “reducing food waste, creating opportunities, engaging with communities”.

Barton Community Emergency Foodbank (Monday, Wednesday 12:00-14:00)

Those who require food need to be referred by a recognised agency, e.g., GPs, Health visitors, CAB, clergy, Community Workers etc – any professionals who are likely to come into contact with people in real need.
CEF’s aim is to help people through a time of crisis, so during this period, people can be referred 5 times no questions asked. If the need continues, a discussion will be held between the referrer and CEF to try and come up with a solution. There are also CEF Foodbank Cafes at St Francis Church, Hollow Way (Tuesday and Friday 12:00-14:00) and at Littlemore Baptist Church (Thursday 10:00-11:30). Citizens' Advice Drop-in (Thursday 10:00-12:00)
Citizens' Advice Oxford holds drop-in sessions at the Bullingdon Centre. It offers free, independent and confidential advice about benefits, debts, housing,
problems at work and consumer issues. Please arrive as early as possible and be prepared to wait. Seats are available. Advice is given within the private office space just inside the front door. It is open to everyone. There is also an appointment service afterwards from 12:00-13:00 |

Oxford Breastfeeding Support (Tuesday 10:00-11:00 and 11:00-12:00)
Oxfordshire Breastfeeding Support provides local breastfeeding support in the community via weekly in-person support sessions, video and phone consultations, and monthly online antenatal breastfeeding education sessions for Oxfordshire families, facilitated by experienced IBCLCs and breastfeeding counsellors, supported by trained volunteers. There is also a private Facebook group where you can quickly find support.

The Archway Foundation
Archway is a registered charity providing a pathway of support to alleviate the hurt and distress, and the impact on mental and physical health, caused by loneliness and social isolation. Anyone over the age of 18 in Oxford, Abingdon and the surrounding areas who identifies as lonely and/or isolated may be eligible for our services. Loneliness and isolation can have devastating effects on a person’s mental and physical health. We are a registered charity providing a pathway of support to alleviate the hurt and distress, and the impact on mental and physical health, caused by loneliness and social isolation. We offer Individual Support by telephone or face-to-face visits or meet-ups, and small Supportive Social Groups in Oxford City and central Abingdon. We welcome volunteers from all ages (over 18) and all backgrounds.

The Gatehouse
The Gatehouse provides a wide range of free services to adults with no need to be registered as homeless or to prove a local connection. The community centre and café operates as a drop-in service, but some services do require advance booking.
Current services include a daily drop-in community centre/café, provision of other basic practical support (e.g. clothes, sleeping bags), therapeutic workshops, shower provision, bespoke one-to-one support from the Casework Team, a Counselling Service, and a Lived Experience Advisory Forum.
